Umpqua Valley Modelers Club Swap Meet

It’s a little drive south, but the Umpqua Valley club has invited us to attend their swap meet on May 29th and 30th. Here’s what they have to say about it:
Umpqua Valley Modelers Club, formally invite you to Kingery Field for a two day spring swap & shop May 29 & 30, 2021. Sales starting Saturday morning at 10:00am. Please no tailgate sales prior to the opening time to give everyone attending a fair shake at getting in on the bargains. If this event is successful and well received, we will make it an annual event.
We are providing a venue for this event since there have been so many restrictions on previous locations due to the Covid virus. As a club we feel that we can provide a safe environment with effective masks and social distancing for us all.
The location is at our flying site at Kingery Ranch. There is ample parking, and an area for RV dry camping if you are staying overnight. There are also a couple of motels at the Rice Hill Truck Stop just south of Yoncalla off I-5 along with dining facilities at the Ranch restaurant, Subway and Denny’s. There is also a local Deli/Tavern, a grocery with quick serve foods and a great coffee stand in Yoncalla.
This will be an outside event, similar to the car and boat swaps held at the Portland fair grounds, hopefully with favorable weather. We will have 50 setup stations 10′ apart running down both sides of our runway each station space will be 10 sq.ft. You may choose to have two stations if needed. We will set up additional stations as attendance dictates. Unfortunately we do not have tables or shelters. You may bring your own table and popup canopy. The vending station will cost you $5 to help offset our cost for maintenance and preparing the field for this venue.
